Sedgefield Middle School Assistant Principal & Jazz Drummer, David Patterson and Charleston based Producer & Vocalist, Zandrina Dunning have created a program geared toward 6th-12th graders providing an opportunity for students to enjoy short live concerts and power chat sessions with professional vocalists & musicians in their school’s media center. The set up is similar to NPR’s Tiny Desk.

Appropriately entitled “Hall Pass”, 20-30 students at a time will earn a 15-30min permissible escape from their normal day to day routine to enjoy a live interactive concert. The opportunity to participate in this fun, casual, & educational environment builds confidence, encourages cooperation, spreads positivity, & provides a realistic look into the lives of professional, full time musicians.
