Through pregnancy\, postpartum\, identity\, transformation\, childbirth\, and the many different paths into motherhood\, the exhibition considers not only the arrival of new life\, but the emergence of a new self. \nFollowing a guided conversation with the artist\, guests are invited to share their own reflections during an open community discussion\, accompanied by curated wine samplings from Fermented Vines. \nAbout Morowa Mosai\nKnown professionally as Morowa Mosai (“Queen Mosaic”)\, Alexandria is an Afrocentric artist whose work is rooted in her Caribbean and African American heritage. Through portraiture and expressive abstract works in acrylic\, oil\, and digital media\, she celebrates the beauty\, resilience\, and excellence of Black identity. \nHer work has been featured at Moja Festival\, Spoleto Festival USA\, exhibited throughout Charleston\, and includes several public murals and community art initiatives across the city.
