Zandrina Dunning is a powerhouse vocalist, producer, and cultural advocate whose dynamic career spans over two decades. Based in Charleston, SC, Zandrina is the Executive Artistic Director of The ZD Experience, a multifaceted platform that merges soulful performances with thought-provoking conversations. She hosts the live talk show and podcast on Ohm Radio (96.3FM), which has captivated audiences with its blend of music and meaningful dialogue.
Zandrina’s journey began with a Bachelor of Arts in Music Industry/Vocal Music from South Carolina State University. She founded The ZD Experience as a band in 2013 and expanded it into a production company in 2018, delivering acclaimed tribute shows to legends like Aretha Franklin and Tina Turner. During the pandemic, she co-created the P.U.R.E. Concert Series with Creative Director Stephen Washington to promote Peace, Unity, and Revival through Entertainment, bridging community and creativity in challenging times.
Zandrina’s impact extends to the TEDx stage, where she performed in 2022 and serves as Chair of Performers, curating talent that elevates TEDx Charleston’s programming. She has shared the stage with Grammy-winning artists, including Charlton Singleton of Ranky Tanky and George Benson. Her work has earned accolades such as the YWCA of Greater Charleston’s What Women Bring Award in 2023 and the Lowcountry Legend Award in 2024, alongside her creative partner Stephen Washington.

Charleston native Stephen Washington is a multi-talented piano virtuoso whose musical journey began at age 5 on drums and transitioned to piano by 9. By 11, he was playing at his father’s church, setting the stage for a career that has taken him around the world. Though rooted in Gospel, Stephen’s influences span genres like Country, Hip Hop, and ’80s Rock. He has performed alongside renowned artists such as Cee Cee Winans, Travis Greene, and Hootie & the Blowfish.
In 2018, Stephen joined The ZD Experience as Creative Director and co-producer, where he helped craft tribute shows to legends like Aretha Franklin and Pink Floyd, the latter featured in Piccolo Spoleto 2023 and performed in front of an audience of nearly 2.5K people.
His leadership and collaborative spirit extend beyond music; Stephen is also a skilled graphic artist with plans to launch his own apparel line.
In 2023, Stephen debuted his radio show Steve’s House on Ohm Radio (96.3FM), interviewing creatives like Grammy Award-winning Charlton Singleton. He serves as Musical Director for Quiana Parler (Ranky Tanky) and her band, and plays with artists like Elise Testone, BlackNoyze, and The Andy Masker Band. Stephen believes, “Music has the ability to make people communicate without speaking. It’s its own language that is understood by everyone.”
